My trip this morning is uneventful. Everybody are asleep.
It seems that the humid and warm evenings are getting into the sleeping routines of people. Everyone I was commuting with are sleeping. Probably it is because of the mellow music played by the driver.
I got off at my stop and I hope the rest get roused up before the PUV passes their stop.

i think that public utility vehicles are microcosm of the filipino society: you see how from the physical structure of the vehicles to the dynamics of the people, the societal structure and interaction are being represented here.
you may observe that in a PUV, our concept of privacy are subjected into different interpretations. We tend to see the rules playing around in the context of how we define space, and our relation with the people inside the vehicle.
anonymousity is the other keyword here.it is such an irony that we tend to forget our value of "privacy" when we have a companion in the PUV. we do not care if others are listening to our discussions because those people around are anonymous anyway.
in this case, you, being an anonymous commuter subjects yourself to the "rule" of commuting, wherein you are allowed to listen to other people's small talks but you do not interfere nor react & pretend that you do not care anyway.
:-D
such a deep and academic discussion you have here. indeed, privacy gets a thin border during commutes.
maybe that is why the word commute (the act of using a public utility vehicle for travel) and commute (the act of shortening an object with measurable length or duration) are spelled the same. they both make something loose breadth.
